There are the most commonly asked questions about HaulFirst app. Everything you need to know about the product and how it works. Can’t find an answer? What is HaulFirst?
HaulFirst is a marketplace that connects waste centers with available haulers. Loads can be posted and claimed quickly with built-in communication, automated tracking, and streamlined payments.
How do I post a load?
Create a load in the app by entering the material type, pickup location, destination, weight or estimated volume, and the rate you’re offering. Haulers in the area are notified instantly.
What if a hauler doesn’t show up or cancels?
Loads can be reposted instantly, and nearby haulers are notified again. There is no cost to post loads. You only pay for loads you have verified as complete.
How do I verify that a load was completed?
Once a load is delivered, the hauler uploads a disposal or scale slip through the app. You can review the document and verify the load before payment is processed.
Are haulers verified?
Haulers must provide company information and credentials before hauling loads through the platform, including a Certificate of Insurance. You’ll need to review and approve the COI for each hauler working with your facility. It’s your responsibility to confirm the document meets your facility’s requirements.
How does pricing work?
You set the rate for the load when posting it, either by the ton or as a fixed rate. Haulers choose which loads to claim, so offering a competitive market rate helps ensure quick pickup.
How are payments handled?
Payment is processed through the platform after the load is completed and the week closes. Loads completed Monday through Sunday are processed the following week, beginning Monday night. Funds are automatically distributed to haulers.
Can I invite my existing haulers to the platform?
Yes. If you already work with certain haulers, feel free to tell them about HaulFirst so you can continue working together while simplifying load coordination, tracking, and payment through the platform.
What types of loads can be posted?
Most common waste and material transport loads can be posted, including construction debris, municipal waste, recyclables, and other outbound facility loads.
Is there a cost to use HaulFirst?
HaulFirst charges a 6% platform fee to the waste center when a load is successfully completed through the marketplace.
